About

Devarsh is a graduate in the Five-year integrated dual degree course from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur with a Bachelor in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Structural Engineering. After graduation from IIT Kharagpur, he worked as a Business Analyst at Flipkart, the largest e-commerce company in India. At Flipkart, he managed the strategic planning and marketing campaigns for the BooksMedia category. 
Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Project and Construction Management at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada and focusing on the implementation of new technologies to address design and coordination challenges in the construction industry.

  • Developed nonlinear finite element models exhibiting the salient features of seismic performance of experimentally tested SMA reinforced shear walls.

  • Assessed the influence of the pier component’s properties on its seismic vulnerability following performance-based evaluation approach.

  • Performed nonlinear dynamic analysis on the piers and developed fragility curves for the different pier component’s properties using Probabilistic Seismic Demand Model.
